Human beings belong to a species of extremes. And it’s in these instances, when we go through difficult times, when that fact stands out more than ever.

On one hand, there are those who think that the whole issue is a conspiracy from those who have the power and that there is no danger whatsoever. I’m not going to get into conspiracy theories, but apart from whatever could be happening behind the scenes, coronavirus is a reality and if we think that there is no danger for us, I’m sure we all can think of someone who could suffer if we transmit them the virus.

On the other hand, are those who panic and feed from fear, stress and anxiety. All those mental states affect our defences and make us vulnerable to the virus.

Both extremes are dangerous, because the two of them feed the possibility to spread the virus.

That’s why I think it’s important to understand how our biology works and the tools we have to strengthen it.

Exposure to the virus doesn’t mean that you’re going to develop it.

It’s our body, through the immune system, who gives permission to the virus to be activated or not. Now, the truth is that, we can’t know if our immune system is at a hundred per cent. We can feel good enough, we can have a healthy diet, do exercise, meditate and practice breathing techniques to strengthen it. However, today we know that our thoughts trigger emotions and these emotions, do affect directly to our immune system. So we could be perfectly healthy but having an argument, feeling disappointed or of course, getting into panic mode, could open the door for coronavirus or any other. What it wouldn’t be any better seeing how the situation is getting in hospitals.

What can we do to overcome this situation then?

First, to follow the recommendations and minimize going out to public spaces and contact with others. Use common sense and keep basic hygiene after each contact. And then, trying to see the whole situation as a challenge to grow instead of as a threat.

Virus biodecoding in general, explains how the germs come to give us information from the collective subconscious. And the goal is to allow our body to evolve. And if we think about it, that’s the key.

Humanity has to evolve and transform. But it needs external help to transform the inner side; eliminate, clean, heal and evolve.

According to Louise Hay in her book “Heal Your Body”, the probable causes to contract a virus are lack of joy, irritation, anger and annoyance. All of them emotions that have a direct effect in our defences, so, why don’t we take advantage of this opportunity to go within and find the root of those emotions so we can let them go?

The new thought patterns or the affirmations that Louise Hay suggests are:

“I lovingly allow joy to flow freely in my life. I love me.” and “I choose to be peaceful and harmonious”.

We can choose to start the day with these two affirmations and then, enjoy at home and focus in what really matters, our family, our projects and our own personal growth.

Listen to good music, read books that inspire you, take advantage that you’re not in a hurry anymore and take care of your home and your loved ones mindfully. Make the most of this time and learn those things you always wanted but never had the time for. Internet is full of online courses. Practice mindful cooking and encourage joy and compassion instead of hate and division in your neighbourhood or social media.

We all are trying our best, even though we could be making decisions that from the outside are seen as wrong and selfish. It’s very easy to judge, it’s a natural reaction. But we could also choose to promote love and compassion. Because what could be a better medicine!

Some time ago I created a self-help online course to improve stress and anxiety, as well as they’re biodecoding (biological meaning). Due to the situation we’re going through at the moment, I’ve decided to offer it for just 1€ for the next month. Access from here.

    Hi Susana,

I read your blogpost with great interest and I can see where you are coming from. The coronavirus is a reality and therefore transmitted easily and can be a danger for anyone, especially people with a low immune system.

I think it’s important for people to understand and to be aware where this virus is coming from. It’s a wake up call for all of us. It’s our way of thinking that creates certain situations in our lives. We are all connected to the universal energies. Positive energy vibrates at a higher vibrating frequency and when send out, returns with the same. Positive thoughts and words gives us and the people around us positive energy, it makes us feel good, it opens the channels for energy to flow freely and improves our overall health and well-being. A positive mindset brings in positive results and therefore creates the reality of the world we live in.

But I believe there is a crucial point that needs mentioning. We are all born free, we have all free will to do what we think is best for us. We all have free choice to make our own decisions in life. In light of the circumstances

    – We have the choice to stay at home and protect ourselves
    – We have the choice to cancel our travel plans
    – We have the choice to stay away from people
    – We have a choice to be free from all the emotional conditioning and learn from our past and be who we really are. Free human beings!

We have a right to live the life the way we want to live it. This choice is now taken away from us through the decisions made by the people in power. They decide for us how to live our lives. There is no free will. We are put in a box, not to step outside of it.
A great example is the film: The Truman Show and the Hunger Games which very much reflects the kind of society we are living in. People are living to other people’s standards, not being themselves.  When we cannot be ourselves and be able to express our needs, it greatly affects our health and well-being.

When we inspire and empower people to take control of their own lives, letting go off all anxieties and fears and face life with positivity and optimism, we create a healthy, loving, peaceful and harmonious life for all.

      Hi Lily,

      Thank you for reading!

I know what you mean, although in my case, I don’t feel that anyone has taken my free will from me. Freedom is a state of mind more than anything.

Regarding, politic decisions, I didn’t want to go there but you’re right. Because our society is been growing from fear instead of being empowered and inspired, now we feel entitled to do what we want and don’t want anyone to tell us otherwise. That’s what happened in our area. People from Madrid has been coming over and now are infecting others because a lack of awareness really.

That’s what key for me. We are free to make decisions, yes, but we also have to be responsible and aware of the consequences that our actions can have. And I think this is going to be a waking up call on awareness and for that I’m extremely grateful.

And that could also be another perspective into this emergency lockdown that we’ll have from Monday on. Those of us who live in rural areas are not going to experience that much of a difference but I’ve noticed how I had to slow down, so imagine what this is going to do with those who live in big cities. We could connect with our families on a deeper level, discover aspects of each other that we don’t have time to do on a busy schedule and learn to enjoy and be grateful for everything that we normally have but use to take for granted.

Anyway, thank you for your input. I really appreciate it.

Most interesting read on the subject, thanks Susana and also Lily for your insightful comments. I am very much thinking of it for a chance for the world to reset, for people to escape being on auto pilot and to appreciate what’s important in life. It isn’t all buy, buy, buy then die! With everyday life slowing down there’s time to reflect, look within and be grateful.
    Love to all xxx

Exactly my point Caroline. We can’t control our external circumstances, but we do have control over how to respond to those circumstances and this is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, reflect, learn about our own feelings and be grateful for what we do have, which more often than not, it’s a lot.
      Thank you for sharing!
